The Influence of Management Style on Individual Self-Actualization.

Participative management style was studied to determine its influence on the level of self-actualization achieved by individuals in organizations. Eighteen groups, comprising a sample size of 140 people, were surveyed and analyzed. The Likert profile or organizational characteristics revealed that only one group could be classified as participative, the study sample appearing more like a normal adult group than a self-actualized group. The study did reveal, however, strong correlations between college training, years in the organization, GS-rate, and several of the factors making up the self-actualization score. Author
