Abstract:

The paper describes a model of naval combat which produces an assessment of damage to the combatants as a function of their respective force mixes. Both sides in the combat are permitted a number of force types, and the model works for a variety of combat scenarios. The model is sufficiently general to be of value in studies in which many strategy combinations and force types are to be examined.
