Abstract:

The lubricating oil for automotive hypoid gears is usually based on mineral oil, alkylamine, and chlorine- and sulfur-containing additives. In order to increase the operating properties of the oil the Russian patent suggests the addition of the following Zinc dialkyldithiophosphate Alkenyl succinic acid ester Polymethacrylate Polymethylsiloxane fluid, and as the sulfur- and chlorine-containing additive Trichloromethyl alkylxanthate.
