It is shown that ovality of radial thrust bearing balls generate vibrations in an engine with a rapidly rotating turbine, and that the vibration spectrum contains harmonic components which are multiples of the double frequency of revolution of the balls. Formulas for calculating the amplitudes of these components are proposed. Author
