Abstract:
Suspended sediments were collected from glacial streams and lakes close to the sources to determine if any physical or chemical weathering had occurred within them. The mineralogical composition and the major constituents were determined using X-ray diffraction. In almost all cases the composition of the samples paralleled that of the native parent materials, indicating that no chemical changes had occurred in the fine suspended material. Author
