Measurements of interactions of 280 MeVnucleon neon nuclei from the Princeton Particle Accelerator with nuclei in emulsions are reported. It is found that the dominant mechanism for nucleus-nucleus interactions for incident neon energies as low as 100 MeVnucleon is the production of charged andor neutral pions. Author
