Abstract:
The report consists of two preprints Intensity Stabilization of Dye Laser Radiation by Saturated Amplification, a novel scheme to reduce the relative intensity fluctuations of extremely narrowband filtered dye laser radiation with a partly saturated high gain traveling wave dye laser amplifier and Spectroscopy with Tunable Lasers, reviewing by T. W. Hansch, which will be published in the Proceedings of the Third International Conference on Atomic Physics. Boulder, Colorado, August 7-11. 1972. This paper reviews the present state of the art in the development of tunable laser sources and demonstrating the wide potential of such lasers as a research tool in spectroscopic investigations.
