Abstract:

The Operations Analysis Department of the Navy Fleet Material Support Office assisted the Office of the Comptroller of the Navy in developing a system to analyze financial data on nonappropriated funds. The approach to the problem was to develop a time-sharing system that would allow NAVCOMPT analysts to store nonappropriated funds financial data, make several data manipulations, compute financial analysis ratios or percentages and produce a variety of financial statements.
