Abstract:

The dependence of the dichroic ratio of a number of absorption bands of the IR-spectrum of polyacrylonitrile PAN within the range of 1000-2300cm, on the degree of directionalized drawing, was obtained. An experimental correlation between the tensile strength and the dichroic ratio of the absorption band at 1247cm of PAN was established. Based on the use of the indirect method of investigating the structure, the assumption is made that PAN is a two-phase amorphous-crystalline system. Author
