Abstract:
When the neutron component in mixed gamma-neutron irradiation drops to 25-30 the protective effect of AET S, beta-aminoethyl isothioronium bromidehydrobromide and cystamine is manifest to the same degree as in conditions of gamma- and X-ray radiation. The subject of the present investigation was the effectiveness of pharmacochemical protective substances as the neutron component increases. Experiments were carried out on non-pedigree white female mice weighing 19-22 g kept under normal animal-house conditions and fed on a standard diet. The compounds were AET, Cystafos monosodium beta-aminoethylthiophosphate, Cystamine, 5-MOT 5-methoxytryptamine, AET 5 MOT, and Cystafos 5-MOT.
