Abstract:

During the course of study an attempt has been made to gather information relating to basic volumetric display system elements--energy sources, deflectors, and display media. The study first derives the display performance equations, and then considers the display media, the energy sources, and the deflectors. Also included is a description of specific requirements for various classes of potential displays, and a time phased plan for their realization.
