Abstract:

The original report AD-732 921 described programs to generate machine code for the solution of simultaneous linear equations SLE with sparse, unsymmetric coefficient matrices. The addendum describes extensions of the algorithm to generate interpretable lists rather than machine code, as described in the introduction of the previous report, and to solve SLE with sparse, symmetric coefficient matrices by code generation.
