Abstract:
Wind tunnel measurements have to be corrected owing to the finite dimensions of the cross section of the jet. There are several kinds of corrections, namely a displacement or dynamic pressure corrections, b downwash or direction corrections, c pressure gradient corrections. The required amount of corrections strongly increases with the relative size of model displacement. The paper presents quantitative statements about this for the first time.
