Abstract:

It has been shown in a previous paper that A factor combination Nu sub 1, Nu sub 2, ..., Nu sub k, 1 or k or n - 1, is weak limitational if and only if the combination is essential. In the paper a necessary and sufficient condition is given for an essential proper subset of factors of production to be strong limitational, together with a corollary stating that essential proper subsets of factors for a homothetic technology are strongly limitational.
