Abstract:
Of the epoxies tested, an epoxy composition based on ED-5 resin and containing 10 DI-BU phthalate, 10 polyethylene polyamine, 90 graphite, and 2 Al dust or 80 graphite and 5 Al dust, had the highest wear resistance and performance rating. Due to the low impact strength, lubricated bearings coated with the ED-5 resin compositions can operate at a maximum pressure of 10 KBFsq cm at a sliding rate of 1.0-1.7 ms.
