Abstract:
A study was made of the influence of Ca, K, and Na halides and other soluble salts on the hydration of the clinker minerals 3CaOAl2O3 and 3CaOSiO2. These compounds increase the degree of hydration of calcium silicates. Apparently these salts do not speed up hardening with calcium hydroaluminates and hydrosilicates.
