Difficulties to demonstrate the otolith organ of frog larvae lead to a special use of the cryomicrotome for light microscopy. The continually cooled microtome is installed within a cool room. Information is taken with a movable striking light microscope from the inside of the frozen object also by cinematography and by the stereoscopic method. Author
