When neutral solutions of thiosulfate are titrated with standard Iodine solution, no change in pH is noted. When sulfite solutions are titrated with Iodine, hydrogen ion is released. The report presents results of the analysis of solutions containing both thiosulfate and sulfite. They are neutralized to pH 7.0, titrated with N10 Iodine solution, and the hydrogen ion formed neutralized with standard base. The sulfite and thiosulfate are calculated from the volumes of titrants used. It is noted that a source of such solutions can be from photographic waste waters.
