Abstract:

It is established that during the incubation of isolated mitochondrias of rat livers with infection RNA of Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis VEE, its penetration into mitochondria is noted. Actinomycin D and cell sap stimulated RNA penetration. The distribution of viral RNA in mitochondria subfractions was studied. A considerable content of labelled RNA was detected in fractions of internal membranes and the matrix. In mitochondria infected in this manner, incubation of RNA synthesis was noted, and no marked effect on the synthesis of mitochondria protein was observed. Author
