Abstract:
The report covers investigations of transacylation reactions between carbocylic acids and carbamates and specifically urethan. The scope limitations and some synthetic applications have been studied. A possible mechanism for the reaction is discussed. Another aspect of transacylation, namely the reaction of non-cyclic carboxy anhydrides with amides and specifically acetanilide has been studied. Preliminary results of the kinetic studies of the reaction of organic bromides with benzoin are reported. Author
