Abstract:
The effect of noise, interpreted as turbulent fluctuations of the power jet on the design of fluid amplifiers is investigated. Mean velocity, turbulence intensity and the correlation function of velocity fluctuations between points at different separation distances at the same time have been measured. These quantities are used to calculate the root mean square values of pressure fluctuations over portions of the jet at which receivers of variables widths might be located. Author
