A study was made of the kinetics involved in splitting off of bound bromine, the attachment of accelerator sulfur and elemental sulfur, and also cross linking during heating of brominated ethylene-propylene rubber with sulfur-vulcanization accelerators - mercaptobenzothiazoles, dibenzothiazyl disulfide, tetramethylthiuram disulfide, and zinc diethyldithiocarbamate both with and without elemental sulfur. During sulfur vulcanization of brominated ethylene-propylene rubber the accelerators react in two directions.
