Abstract:
The kinetic energy of abrasive particles of various sizes was determined at which particles are knocked out from a metal surface during an impact. The shock wave arises during secondary extension of a cavitation cavity. The absolute velocity in the compression of the cavity can be determined by solving the equations for the motion of a vapor gas bubble in a sonic field on a computer. It is assumed that the vapor behaves in a compression like an ideal gas. Author
