Different doppler processors have been evaluated for their suitability to overcome various shortcomings. The paper concentrates on applications to Combat Surveillance Radars, especially those requiring small weight and power consumption. Theoretical and experimental studies were made of techniques suitable for presentation of marginally audible doppler frequencies to the ear amplitude modulation and time compression show promise. Tests with a breadboard model confirmed the predictions of the study.
