When SeF5OOSeF5 is produced by the reaction of fluorine with selenium dioxide a substantial proportion of SeF5OSeF5 is also formed. Bispentafluoroselenium oxide is relatively stable and resists hydrolysis. The new compound, pentafluoroselenium fluorosulfate SeF5OSO2F, is produced by the reaction of SeF5OOSeF5 with peroxydisulfuryl difluoride S2O6F2. Author
