None of the editors were able to work as fast with the MATE System as with their normal editing method. However, the quality of the output text was fine enough that the time and costs involved in recomposition of the final text would be reduced. This reduction would be significant enough to result in an overall increase in throughput of the combined post editing and recomposition departments. In particular the incorporation of such a system into the current FTD operational language translation environment would result in a significantly lower cost per translated word. Author
