A program was conducted to obtain performance data on a prototype decomposed ammonia radioisotope thruster DART concept attitude control engine. This engine was developed by the AEC at its Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory LASL for the Air Force. The engine was evaluated at the AFRPL in both the steady-state and pulse modes of operation. Specific performance parameters measured were steady-state thrust, and in the pulsed mode, propellant used per pulse, total impulse delivered per pulse and the resulting specific impulse delivered per pulse.
