Abstract:

Three important properties of a spectrometer are 1 its throughput, 2 whether or not it is a multiplex system, and 3 its free spectral range. Various multiplex systems are described, and an attempt is made to present a comparison of the merits of implementations of such systems. Systems considered are the Michelson and Lamellar-grating interferometers, the Mock interferometer, and the Hadamard transform spectrometer. Author
