A test facilitymodel combination has been developed and operated to obtain sufficiently high unit Reynolds numbers to achieve a range of flows which produce variations from completely laminar to fully developed turbulent body boundary layer on a 5 degree - 12 angle cone with a 3.85 inch diameter base. The state of the model boundary layer has been determined using thin film heat gages for a wide range of test conditions, both with and without surface blowing. Initial results have been obtained on the effect of surface flowing and the body boundary layer on the mean wake pitot profiles. Author
