Abstract:

Simplified tests are consturcted to replace the most powerful rank test MPRT and the locally most powerful rank test LMPRT of the hypothesis H sub 0 G F against Lehmann alternatives. Some of these are shown to be locally asymptotically efficient. One is efficient for non-local alternatives when the ratio of sample sizes mn approaches infinity as n approaches infinity. Author
