Abstract:
The pulse technology of NMR spin-echo technology is a very convenient method for measuring the coefficient Dt of the translational self-diffusion of molecules in a liquid. The authors compare the rotational activation energies obtained by optical methods with the barriers characterized directly by thermal translation of motion of molecules. The self diffusion and intermolecular actions of the following compounds were studied Benzene Toluene Xylene Chlorobenzene Cyclohexane Choloroform Ethylene dichloride Acetone Acetonitrile Water Aniline Phenol and Benzophenone.
