Abstract:

The article discusses the effect of radiation on semiconductors. The degree of the change in characteristics of semiconductors depends on the radiation dose, shape of the particles, the energy and intensity of the particles, and so on. Therefore, an estimate of the degree of the effect of radiation on semiconductors can be produced by having a concept of sources of the radiation medium in which they will be used. The lifetime of minority carriers varies indirectly proportional to the defect concentration in the crystal. With the irradiation of semiconductor materials of a different conductivity type, different degree of alloyed state, and also depending on the radiation temperature, the concentration of radiation defects is changed.
