Abstract:

The Engineering Data Storage and Retrieval EDS and R Project is concerned with improved information support services for U.S. Army Engineering activities. This Data Survey and Analysis effort has, through a series of inter-related efforts, made surveys of current equipment and activities in the EDS and R technical areas, made appropriate analyses, and reported the results in technical notes and reports. General programs, specific equipments, and broad surveys are included. A special index was prepared for microfilmed engineering data files. A program and systems directory was published concerning defined efforts to store and retrieve engineering data. A continuous technical review of the current literature was made and reported monthly.
