Abstract:

Experience in using the MINSK-22 printer has shown that it has a number of shortcomings and requires modernization. For example, a large load on the high speed printer during three shifts 15-18 hours leads to the rapid wear and tear of working parts and overheating. Data print-out requires not more than three to four hours per day however, the only way of obtaining multiple copies of print-out which are often required, for example, in dynamic planning is to repeat the entire printing program. The computer center at the Petrovskij Metallurgical Plant has developed and introduced two improvements in the MINSK-22 printer, to deal with these problems Including a circuit for automatic switching in of a high speed printer, and an attachment for the alphanumberic printer which allows simultaneous printing of two copies in a wide format printout.
