Abstract:
The Total ionospheric electron content at 63 degrees invariant latitude shows a strong seasonal dependence. The diurnal variation is smallest during summer, whereas the winter-months show the highest day-values as well as the lowest night-values. Next, the electron-content shows a 27-days cycle, which is well correlated with the variations of the solar-flux in the cm-band. The night-values of the summer-data show a marked tendency to decrease with increasing Kp-values. Author
