Abstract:
To develop the capability to predict in quantitative terms the effects of terrain obstacles on cross-country performance of ground vehicles, two principal areas of investigation were initiated, namely soil and obstacle studies. The obstacle studies were subdivided into the following three tasks 1 Effects of Terrain Obstacles on Vehicle Performance, 2 Prototype Tests of the Effects of Multiple Terrain Factors on Ground Mobility in the U.
