Heat Transfer Coefficients for Two-Phase (Water/Air) Flow Over a Tube Bank

Local heat and mass transfer coefficients for spray flow over a heated tube bank were determined for a range of mass flux ratios and spray-water injection temperatures. Reynolds numbers were based on the minimum flow area within the tube bank and the tube outer diameter. The components of the overall heat transfer coefficient are reported for each case investigated. A total heat transfer coefficient and heat transfer amplification factor are defined and reported as functions of mass flux ratio.
