Abstract:
Isoniazid INH was given for one year to a group of 28 volunteer civilian aviators. Neurological examinations, mental status examinations, EEGs and visual evoked potentials were monitored at control, six months and twelve months. Minor changes were observed in all the measures none of these changes were severe enough to be of great concern. No evidence was found to justify restriction of flying during INH administration, although the results of this study suggest that careful monitoring of patients taking INH is indicated.
