Abstract:
The electronic structure of Sb2Se3, both crystalline and amorphous, has been studied and the combination of four types of spectroscopy optical reflectivity, photoemission, photoconductivity, and ESCA has led to a reasonably complete picture of the electronic structure. Resistivity vs. temperature measurements, differential thermal analysis measurements, measurements photoconductivity, photoemission, optical transmission and reflectivity, and finally Mossbauer spectroscopy is being initiated on amorphous Sb, Sb2Te3, Sb2Se3 and Sb2S3 both crystalline and amorphous in order to obtain information about the chemical and electronic structure of the amorphous state of these materials.
