Two candidate repellents were evaluated on New Zealand white rabbits for their potential to cause skin and eye irritation. The data obtained serve as a basis for making the following recommendations concerning their potential use on humans. These recommendations are intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of compounds. There is no resistriction for acute application of ENT-81916-Ga to human skin. Irritation of human eyes is not expected if the compound should accidentally get into the eyes, providing it is washed out as soon as possible. ENT-81928-Ga should be used with extreme caution around the eyes and mucosa. There is no restriction for acut application to human skin. Author
