A corrective transverse feed system for spherical reflectors was developed to correct spherical aberrations and provide improved aperture efficiencies over a scan plus or minus 30 degrees. A review of prior work on spherical reflector focal region field analysis was conducted. Numerical integration procedures for the scattered fields in the focal region were developed both for the receive and for the transmit feed approach. Corrected transverse feed systems were designed and fabricated for both lens and horn arrays based on these analyses. The designs were tested, corroboration with theory determined and recommendations for future work were set forth. Author
