Abstract:
The objective of this study was to find and explore possible video mapper systems alternative to the current systems employing the flying spot scanner and more suited for integration in future surveillance and control systems. The study was intended to provide technical direction for future mapper development based upon the impact of future system configurations and rapidly changing memory and optical sensing technologies. Seven different digital systems were subjected to a detailed exploratory design - five systems for live time mapping and two for dead time mapping. Author
