Abstract:

A link of two components simple closed curves in S sup 3 is a boundary link if the components bound disjoint orientable surfaces in S sup 3. A link is irreducible if the only toroidal surfaces which separate the components are boundaries of regular neighborhoods of the components. In this paper, the author constructs a family of irreducible boundary links with unknotted components. Author
