Abstract:

The dielectrics study was concerned with evaluating pulse signature effect upon the dielectric strength of deionized water. The double resonance HV generator used provided a prestressing of the dielectric before the major stress and the influence of this prestress was of interest. The report describes the transformer generator and its characteristic in some detail and deals also with the overall experimental arrangements.
