Abstract:
A wind-tunnel is described in which the air temperature can be varied in the vertical direction. The facility is used to study stratified flows. The velocity and temperature characteristics of the wind-tunnel were determined through a series of calibration tests. The results are presented herein. The performance of the wind tunnel is considered to satisfactory for its intend purpose.
