Abstract:
It is shown explicity that the frequencies of small k, infinitefilm spin waves follows guide curves, which are simply the dispersion relations for pure magnetostatic modes exchange constant D O with the internal field H sub i replaced by H sub i Dk squared. A previous result, that the magnetostatic-mode Dk squared negligible frequencies are independent of the pinning, apart from splitting at corssovers of the guide curves, is a special case of the general result. Two regions of linearity of omega as a function of the magnitude k sub f of the wave vector in the plane of the film exist, but have no practical consequences at present. Author
