Abstract:

The absorption spectrum of 1,5-naphthyridine vapor for lambda 2000 A is presented. A single P from n system and three diffuse pi from pi systems are observed. A vibrational analysis is given for the allowed singlet Aunpi from singlet Ag electronic system, and a O-O band is assigned to 27,259cm. In addition, a vibrational analysis is given for the allowed singlet Bupi pi from singlet Ag electronic system and its O-O band is assigned to 32,874cm.
