Work has continued concerning the preparation and structure elucidation of complex metal hydrides of the main group elements. Research papers are contained in the Appendix of the report. Major developments include A direct synthesis of iminoalanes, RNA1Hn compounds. These compounds should be excellent candidates as high energy binders. New complex metal hydrides of magnesium, zinc and copper have been prepared. These compounds should be excellent candidates as high energy propellants and burning rate accelerators.
