Abstract:
The principal merit of superconducting quantum interference flux detectors is their remarkable sensitivity. Nevertheless, a basis for calculating their thermal fluctuation noise limitations has only recently been given by J. Kurkijarvi. Here the theory is applied to a calculate the intrinsic noise of the popular radio frequency biased super-conducting quantum flux detector.
