Abstract:
Theoretical and methodological development were concentrated on the development of a model for human pattern perception and include 1 the development of prototype and generation of sets of deviant examples of line drawings insects to be used with the model 2 the operation of the model in a supervised learning mode to validate its pattern analytic routines and to obtain distributional statistics on the sets of examples and 3 planning for the unsupervised learning mode in which the model will learn to recognize a new pattern on the basis of examples in which the classes are not identified for the model by the experimenter.
